Similar to many other places on Earth, Hong Kong is facing climate change consequences with longer duration of dry season and shorter duration but more intense rainy season, with more record rains occurring in shorter intervals. This increases risk of severe flooding due to poor self-cleansing during the dry season and drainage clogging during rain burst that overwhelm the drainage system.

In order to prevent serious flooding that result in big economic loss, Eurovironment is offering an integrated solution to safely remove sediments, silts and wastes accumulated at the bottom in drainage channel (such as box culvert or large diameter pipes) using robotic equipment with onboard dredging pump. Once the sediment with high water content is removed from the channel, the water is then separated from the solid directly on-site using mobile modularized dewatering unit to achieve solid content of over 30% for more economical transportation easy disposal to landfill sites. This solution greatly improve efficiency, cost and safety of the handling process.
